Experiential workshop regarding vineyard grafting in Anemotia

More than 50 people from different areas of Greece (Corinth, Thessaloniki, Kefalonia, Chios, Ioannina, Lesvos) participated in the experiential workshop regarding vineyard grafting in Anemotia (Lesvos Island, Greece), in the framework of the project "Rehabilitation of degraded land through its transformation into an organic vineyard for the rescue of native varieties". The vineyard rootstocks, which had been planted in April during the previous experiential workshop, were grafted with parts from local vines of different native varieties adapted to the local soil and climate conditions.

The project is funded by the Green Fund, through the measure "Innovative actions with citizens" of the program "Natural environment & innovative actions 2021". The project is a replicability and transferability example of the Land Stewardship approach, implemented for the first time in Greece by Green Fund, in the context of the LIFE Terracescape project.
